Brecon Beacons – What are we doing?

On Saturday 12th March a number of Oakford employees summited Fan Y Big, Pen Y Fan and Corn Du, walking 9.5 miles. The 11 committed individuals decided to climb the Brecon Beacons all in preparation for the National 3 Peaks Challenge which they will completing in July.

Despite the mist, the weather was largely dry creating the perfect walking temperature, allowing the whole team to successfully summit all 3 peaks. Chris Langton, the man behind organising these challenges said “This walk was an important milestone to gauge the team’s ability for the upcoming event”.

The team of Oakford trekkers are using the 3 Peaks Challenge as an excuse to raise money for the new Julia’s House Children’s Hospice which is opening in Devizes. As a local Company ourselves, we understand the importance to support and help in every way we can to, especially those who are supporting the community.

We look forward to keeping you up to date with our adventures and hopefully have some great success stories and pictures to soon update you on.
